M-Class performance with built-in Blu-ray Disc, DVD and CD reader

The M500 Player is based on Kaleidescape's M-Class architecture, a powerful platform for the onscreen user interface and for playing Blu-ray content. Blu-ray movies are played in high-definition video with lossless audio, including support for 1080p video with 24 frames per second, and bitstream pass-through of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The exclusive Kaleidescape Movie Guide provides cover art, synopses, and details like actors, directors, genres and ratings. Songs on concert films are indexed for easy access. Movies start instantly, without advertisements, trailers or menus. The M500 Player also copies your Blu-ray Discs, DVDs and CDs onto your Kaleidescape server.

An M500 Player can play directly from a Blu-ray Disc, DVD or CD, or from the copy stored on your server. For Blu-ray, playback must be enabled by the presence of the physical disc in one of your M500 Players or a disc vault.

Regional Playback Control

The DVD region code of the M500 Player can be changed up to four times. The player can only import or play from the tray DVDs matching its configured region code. Any M500 Player can play any DVD movie once it has been imported.

The Blu-ray Disc region code of the M500 Player is set at time of purchase and cannot be changed by the customer. Any M500 Player can import any Blu-ray Disc. An imported Blu-ray movie will play if a component of the system matches the region code specified by the disc.
